




























Roland Austrup brings over 35 years of financial markets expertise to systematic technology commercialization, creating a unique bridge between institutional investment discipline and venture creation. His career began in 1988 as a Commodity Broker at Scotia McLeod Inc., specializing in hedging commodity price risk for corporate clients, before advancing to Investment Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. In 2003, he co-founded WaveFront Global Asset Management Corp., which he continues to lead as Chairman, growing it into a $1.7 billion AUM Toronto-based global hedge fund focused on quantitative equity, futures and multi-alternative strategies.
Since joining Innventure in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer, Roland has demonstrated exceptional leadership through progressive roles, becoming Head of Capital Markets and Executive Committee Member in 2023, before being appointed Chief Growth Officer in June 2024. He has been instrumental in leading the company through its NASDAQ listing and applying institutional investment principles to create multiple billion-dollar market opportunities through systematic technology commercialization. His unique combination of hedge fund discipline and venture creation expertise has positioned Innventure as a leader in transforming multinational corporation R&D into high-growth companies like PureCycle Technologies (NASDAQ: PCT).
Roland also co-founded Envest Corp., a downstream energy company, and serves on the Advisory Boards of the University of Waterloo's Master of Quantitative Finance program and First Tracks Capital. He holds a B.A. with Honours from the University of Western Ontario.
